Sunvale Water System – Distribution Line Replacement Project Updates
Construction is set to begin Soon!
- Anticipated Project State: On or around the week of May 13, 2024.
- Crews from Interstate Concrete & Asphalt are scheduled to work Monday through Friday 7am-5pm.
- PUD personnel along with staff from Welch-Comer Engineering will be on-site periodically.
- The schedule will be updated as needed and communicated as appropriate.

Sunvale Water System – Distribution Line Replacement Project Summary
Through our efforts to keep your drinking water safe and provide reliable service, the Pend Oreille Public Utility District is making necessary improvements to the Sunvale Water System.
Major components of the project include replacing distribution main lines, service lines, valves, and all 63 water meters in the system. This project has been engineered, designed (by Welch Comer & Associates), and recently went out for bid. The contract was awarded to Interstate Concrete & Asphalt and construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2024.
